“An evidence-based, robust primer for neuromodulation, with high-quality presenters”

AlexPsychologist, Adelaide, Australia

Valuable and thorough learning experience, suitable for practitioners and researchers, and presented by high calibre professionals currently working with Neurofeedback. As a researcher, I very much appreciated the solid evidence-base of the training content, with citations and research findings provided, alongside practical advice and hands-on experience with the equipment. I highly recommend this enjoyable and very informative BCIA-recognised training

AJPhD Researcher, QUT

An understanding of what neurofeedback is and isn’t, the population it is suitable for and the equipment required.

SharonPsychologist, Catholic Care

Very clear, thorough, and most importantly, evidence-based. A clear understanding of the research behind Neurofeedback and good practice for delivering Neurofeedback

JudyNeuropsychologist, Jurmaine Health

Course details

In 2017 a large multicenter study confirmed the efficacy of SCP Neurofeedback as a treatment for ADHD in children. The results stand as the strongest level of evidence to date for any type of neurofeedback protocol. Click here to access the publication by Strehl et al. 2017

This workshop is for clinicians and researchers who are interested in the application Slow-Cortical-Potential Neurofeedback (SCP). The course will cover the neurophysiological foundations, learning theory, technical requirements and the application of neurofeedback in therapy. Evidence-based applications will be presented and discussed. A further aim of this workshop is to provide hands-on training with the neuroConn THERAPRAX Mobile device, demonstrating correct application of electrodes as well as how to interpret signals.

Who can attend?

The SCP Neurofeedback Training course is suited to participants who are registered mental health physicians or therapists (or have equivalent education e.g. Master’s level).

Participants who usually attend this workshop:

Why SCP Neurofeedback?

SCP Neurofeedback is a standardised Neurofeedback protocol with high clinical efficacy in the treatment of ADHD. Unlike Frequency Band Neurofeedback settings, SCP Neurofeedback has no contra-indications. SCP Neurofeedback is an option for clinicians who are looking to provide evidence-based Neurofeedback, however, may not have facilities for QEEG assessments.
