Mental Health Professionals and researchers can now access live online training in Neurofeedback, TMS & tDCS.
Due to the recent Coronvirus outbreak imposing worldwide restrictions on travel and in-person gatherings, the neuroCare Group’s global Training & Science division, neuroCademy, has adapted in-person workshops to live online webinar format.
Leading neuromodulation researcher and presenter Dr Martijn Arns (The Netherlands), delivered the first online Neurofeedback and TMS workshops earlier this month, together with his global network of expert colleagues.
Throughout the year, neuroCademy normally hosts workshops on advanced neuromodulation modalities of Neurofeedback, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and other neurostimulation techniques, such as transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS). These in-houe traning courses are delivered by neuroCare Group’s expert teams across Europe and Australia, with professionals travelling from all over the world to attend.
“This has been a fantastic opportunity to broaden our reach and make neuromodulation training more accessible to professionals worldwide as well as collectively lowering our carbon footprint,” says [Dr Arns ?].
“…because we are apart of a global network of scientists and experienced neurotherapy providers, we are able to dial in a range of presenters adding diverse input to each course.”
Training workshops are delivered via video-conference, across 1 – 4 days, covering 3 – 5 hours of learning components each day.
Although participants are not able to complete the hands-on training modules normally covered in the in-person training workshops, the new format offers more flexibility for professionals first looking for more understanding on the research and possible applications of Neurostimulation or EEG Biofeedback (Neurofeedback) techniques.
Australian-based Neuroscientist and neuroCademy presenter Dr Trevor Brown is optimistic this new format of course delivery, opens up innovative mental health treatments to a wider range of professionals.
“We often find professionals are curious about these techniques, and perhaps first want some clarification on the level of evidence or feasibility of integrating neuromodulation technologies, whether it be Neurofeedback in a Psychology practice or TMS or tDCS in a hospital or outpatient setting,” says [Dr Brown].
After in-person gathering restrictions have been lifted, participants are invited to attend one of neuroCare Group’s centres for hands-on practice and demonstration of therapy delivery, with clinics based in Australia, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy and the USA.
